Bah, these are great, Shane! I really like these characters, although you are right about the capes:)
Does that pirate owe that chicken money? He looks pissed. He's saying, "Now, pirate."Love all of the sketches. My favorite is the bear. That is the most care-free expression I've ever seen. He looks like he just woke up from a nap, just in time for a nap.
WOw, another fantastic page of sketches. You better be keeping track of these for your sketchbook!!!You're continuing to inspire me, my friend. Wonderful, Disney style designs. I love the chickens most of all!
Swell drawings! The 49er chap is my favorite!
Cool stuff. At first glance I thought that those 2 pigs where actually a two-headed pig.
what the hell...this blog is awesome! your designs are soooo good. jesus.
A two-headed pig?! I know what I'm sketching next! Thanks for the comments, everyone.
Those different(well drawn) elements could easily be incorporated into a great movie, or better yet a video game. You'll have to pitch it
I need to help with something. I've been checking your work for some time now. What steps do you tak? I just want to be able to draw a character, comic/cartoon, scan it in (or do you draw straight on the computer?) lay flat color, and have it look clean like your stuff. How do I do this? I've been looking at tons of tutorials on this, but your stuff is what I'm really wanting and it seems so fluid and "simple". No offense by the "simple". I just mean it just seems to have finished BAM! effect. Please help or anyone else for that matter.
Hey Shane.... great work man... I've been creepin' on your blog for a while.... and you keep pumpin' out the goods... oh and pigs need to have alter-egos too... anyways... great job.... PEACE!J
Keep lookin around your desk...thars gold in dem drawers!Simply fantastic!you rock!
Thanks again for the comments, everybody. I'm glad you seem to approve of some of the stuff I do. I guess the people who hate my drawings and rants don't comment... they just leave. I didn't want to hear from then anyway.Toby... check out this link:http://toonbaboon.blogspot.com/2006/04/my-process.htmlMy friend Adrian explains his process in there, and we do a lot of the same stuff. It's all hand-drawn and scanned, and then we just separate into different layers in Photoshop and drop in the colors. If Adrian's explanation doesn't answer things, let me know and I'll try to help some more. And good luck!
I love that bear.
The old business guy sneaking up on the kid is creeping me out.Run kid, Run!
