Disgruntled Bunny

This week's Toon Club topic was Easter, and I had planned to draw something really cute and fluffy and bright... something sweet enough to make everyone a little nauseous. But last week I started car pooling to work with some guys I work with... Brandon and Joe. Joe suggested on Friday that we should each draw a maniacal bunny, and that's where this guy came from.

It's nice to be car pooling... not only because gasoline now costs more than the car you put it in, but also because I'm finally saving the rainforests and polar bears like I'd always hoped to, and my weekly road rage numbers are way down, which will probably add several years to my life. I'm not just saving the rainforests and polar bears... I'm saving me. And more important than any of those things... I'm saving money. Happy Easter, everyone!

That's the angriest easter bunny ever - it's going to give children nightmares...similar to the nightmares they're already having about Santa - http://stlewis.blogspot.com/2006/12/you-better-watch-out.html

You're crazy.

Love you crazy!

Very maniacal indeed. I love the eyes. Not only the dark and sinister rings around them, but how they flow into his not-so-fluffy cheeks.

Is he maniacal or suicidal? 'Cause if he's not planning to chuck that beautiful egg-bomb... it may be the latter. Or maybe both. Very scary bunny!

Great facial expressions on this rabbit. Years ago I got a CD from a band called "Bunnies of Doom"... this reminds me a bit of their mascot, a rabbit wielding a huge butcher knife. Great job as usual!

My Easter-Scrooge husband (he thinks the notion of the Easter bunny, baskets, and all the other secular things associated with the holiday are stupid) would appreciate this. I especially like the dark, shadowy eyes. Kinda reminds me of The Book of Bunny Suicides. Great post - as usual!

I love this. I just had to tell you again. I like the donkey below too, as long as you're not taking a jab at democrats, unless they're bad driving democrats, then they definitely deserve it. I dunno how many times I've had to emphasize to people, it's not the LEFT lane, it's not the FAST lane, it's the PASSING lane, so unless you're PASSING, get the H out of it. Actually, I think your donkey should be the Democratic mascot, call Donald Dunn and ask him about it, he likes any word that starts with D.
