Elephant vs Monkey

I've often wondered what the outcome would be if a grizzly bear and a Bengal tiger got into a fight. Barring a zoo outbreak or a second worldwide flood, this fight will most likely never take place. I guess that's good for tigers and bears, but how will I ever know who would win? Any theories? I pick the bear, but that's just because he cheats.

This is what would happen if a monkey and an elephant got into a fight, because elephants are too friendly and jolly to beat up monkeys, so they'd just yo-yo them and stuff... which I guess isn't all that friendly. This theory needs work.

Hey, I love this one! What's really coincidental is that some dudes I know wanted me to come up with an elephant character and a monkey side kick as well!!!!!

Maybe our brains are also receptors that pick up......"psi", or something......from beyond.

Hey brother man. Your artwork is always a good reason to stop by. Inspiring, well thought out and amazingly executed.

I have come to take it for granted as I now visit for the commentary. I've mentioned it before, but I now visit your blog for two reasons, 50/50. The artwork AND the mindless dribble that tends to make more sense the more I read.

Your last several entries had me laughing right out loud. "...bursting into flames" had me in tears. Being in Las Vegas, I felt the heat as I read. Keep it up. I want a copy of your journal if it ever goes on sale. I'd be there for the reading and signing and order several copies for my family and friends.

Many thanks for the time you take.

I'd have to vote for the Tiger. I've seen the claws and fangs on those things. Bears are dang good at ripping up stuff, but somehow I picture Bears as the Boxers of the animal world, and Tigers as the Ninjas. Either way it'd be grizzly. No pun intended.

Awesome illustration Shane!

ohhhh now, C'MONNNN!!! this could go ANY way. you ever see TARZAN? (duh, of course you have! why would i ask that?) and those maniacal monkeys, who stole jane's sketchbook and then like, almost ATE her? ok, monkeys and their scary "rip-you-apart" factor has been greatly misunderstood. i'm gonna get squashed by the elephant, yeah sure, i mean, lookit his FEET but that monkey....shudder! draw those eyebrows down, add some fangs, NOOOOOOO!!!!! that poor little elephant.

fantastic, bytheway...your animal gestures are wicked humbling.

Very cute characters ... and idea! :O)

Great expressive characters. Their gestures are also very nice. I say the tiger would win. Sure a grizzly has weight can wrestle better than Hulk Hogan, cats fight nasty and fast. I think the bear would run off wounded before there was a real out come. That is my theory. Bring in a polar bear and all bets are off.

such wonderful characters and expressions!

I think the bear has the advantage of using its upper arms, as it can stand in two feet, plus the bear has more hair so maybe the tiger wont have a great bite grip.
