Juggling Rabbit

Once again I've drawn something that caused my wife to say, "I think you need therapy." She's serious too. But you see, drawing is the therapy. Now that I've drawn this semi-violent scene, I don't have to try it in real life with real chicks or real bunnies. The violent tendencies are relieved, and nobody's hurt. Therapy complete. Thanks heavens I have art as an outlet... I shudder at the thought of how innocent chicks may have suffered otherwise.

I think it was the chicks on the ground that really bothered her, but I've tried juggling, and it's hard. I'm impressed the rabbit still has more than half of the little guys in the mix. Instead of being critical of what he's doing wrong, let's just celebrate what he's doing right, because that's some fine juggling... especially for a rabbit.

Hilarious ... even if it is a little sick. ;)

ROFL! I must need therapy too, because I was totally laughing. I have to admit, I didn't notice the little guys on the ground. I'm sorry...but I'm still laughing....lol....especially at the overly happy grin on the Easter Bunny's face. How funny. I'm sure the ones just bonked their heads and are dizzy. Give em a few seconds to recover and they'll be good for another round! :-) HAPPY EASTER!

My daughters started chuckling when I opened this-- I thought they'd be horrified, but nope, they thought it was amusing. What does that say about my child rearing abilities? Hopefully not much, at least not much negative. I too thought your post was hysterical, though I entertained a moment of regret for enjoying the plight of chicks for jugglings sake.
Lindy's right, you need help. You and me both. :)

Awesome! Maybe that's how they kill the chicks to make peeps.

Hilarious! Such a joyous chick-icide, how can you not chuckle?

I agree with Lindy that you should get some therapy, but we both know that's not gonna happen any time soon...

So keep it up!

Hilarious. I don't know how you come up with this stuff but keep doing it. How come you haven't started your own comic strip in the papers. You could make some side cash doing that.

LoL. This rocks. Very funny (morbid) material. You always have a story. Great drawing too. I can only pray that those chicks have especially solid craniums.

Did someone comment that they wanted to "link" you? That is rather weird. Nice bunny, there, is his name Chucky?

I've attempted this very trick more than once in my life. Impressive talent mr. bunny. I want a screenshot of just the peeps on the floor...ah, the sound they make when they hit has reminded me its time for lunch.

great drawing.

Oh my God, I can't stop laughing - this is hilarious! And your text made me laugh even more. I can't imagine why your wife thinks you need therapy.... ;)

No harm done. Wile E. taught us that nobody REALLY gets hurt in the cartoon worlds. The little chicks'll live another day...to be juggled, eh? Great cartoon, Shane!

This cute and terribly funny. I'm in denial here...the chicks on the ground aren't dead! They're just knocked unconscious from the fall. They'll get back up in no time!

Shane, you are crazy! Toon club, blog, Avalanche, AND illustration Friday? Do you ever slow down? Inspiring!

I love the chicks on the ground, that's the best touch.

lol! very funny. That's about as good as my juggling, except I usually use oranges instead of live animals. live animals would be much harder, so good for the wabbit.

(Examines closely.) I'm pretty sure those aren't real chicks.

It's wonderful how this is a single static drawing yet also an animation sequence. The chickypoos make the eye go round and round. You ever think uh bein' uh animater?
