Duck Hunt

I never had a gun for my Nintendo... too dangerous. But whenever I visited a friend who had one, you could be certain I was shooting poorly animated, heavily pixelated ducks well into the evening on "Duck Hunt." Unless you sat inches from the TV and scraped the gun against the screen to ensure your aim, you were bound to miss an occasional duck. And the moment you did... enter the mocking dog. You think that's funny, dog? Well, laugh it up, because I just decided what I'm doing with this last bullet.

I've never been hunting, but if I did I imagine that the first time my dog laughed at me for misfiring at a duck would come just seconds before the first time I shot my dog.

I recently learned that
Duck Hunt has a game mode where you just fire a machine gun at an endless parade of passing dogs. Now, shooting your insensitive dog occasionally is one thing. Mowing down his entire family... a little extreme. I did it anyway. He knows he deserves it.

I hated that game. I swear I hit more ducks when I focused on NOT aiming on them than when I aimed dead on. LOL! Hey...and thanks for stopping by my blog today....crazy how petty people can be, huh! Anyway....thanks!

That's cute. Funny thing is that I first played the original Duck Hunt this past Christmas time. Talk about all those wasted years!

Wow, this brings back that sense of nostalgia! Nice stylization of the pixel graphics.

I had this game cartridge but mine had a secret chip inside of it that was activated when I got to a certain level. It had plans for a nuclear bomb that popped up on my screen. The owner of the local game store was killed for it and my imaginary friend/hero was always guiding me away from the bad guys who wanted the cartridge. Oh, wait...never mind. That was "Cloak & Dagger" with the kid from E.T.

Ha. I almost feel bad for that stupid dog. He should've seen it coming. He's seeing his life flash before his eyes, no wait, it's just the TV flashing as you pull the trigger as it always did.

I couldn't play the dog killer game for very long. It was fun at first...then I started getting kind of sick.
