Dogs vs Cats (In Color)

I drew this in March, but I threw some color on it today because it seemed a nice fit for this week's Illustration Friday topic: Opposites. Dogs and cats both walk on four legs, and they're both pets, so I guess they're not too opposite... but they're as different as cats and dogs. Man, that was lame.

    I'm a fan of the original pencil art, but I'm quite happy with how the color turned out, too.

    I thought this was marvelous as a pencil sketch, but with color it's amazing! Love the look on both the Dog and the Cat, I've met both personalities and I'd rather have a goofball dog than a distainful cat.

    This is a great drawing Shane. The shapes and expressions are spot on.

    My cat's name is CatMattix (like Dogmatix from the Asterix cartoons/comics...never mind). I like him a lot, but every time he looks at me I can tell he's thinking "If I were bigger, I'd eat you."
